The Implementation of Thu 18 Nov
The webpage has been launched in relation to the Village Bus project. The idea is that the villagers in the Kölsillre area book a seat on ready planned trips or suggest new trips with the Village Bus via the webpage. For people without a computer or Internet access can use the public computer in the local grocery shop in Kölsillre. The shop has the official status as a "Municipal Service Point" and has therefore been equipped with a computer and Internet connection by Ånge municipality. Visit the Village Bus website www.byabussen.se

Official Inaguration of the Village Bus in Kölsillre Sun 21 Nov
Last Sunday the first pilot project in Västernorrland was initiated with the Village Bus project in Kölsillre in Ånge municipality. The mayor Sten-Ove Danielsson and County Council politician Anette Lövgren held shorter speeches, congratulation the villagers and wishing them and the project all the best in the near future.

Pilot Project 2 - Opening Hospital Line 190 for Regular Travellers

The 100 km long stretch between the town of Ånge (municipal centre and capital) and the County Hospital in Sundsval has been operated by as so called hospital line for people who cannot make their own way in order to seek hospital care. The healthcare makes an individual judgement regarding who can use the service or not and is funded by the County Council.

Over the last two years the hospital line has seen a dramatic decline in usage and its future is therefore threatened when its private entrepreneur bearly breaks even. The line is much appreciated by its user's and very cost efficient (compared to other ways of transporting patients to the hospital). Through the RTS project the regional traffic company Din Tur and the County Council has agreed to open the hospital line for regular travellers in an attempt to strengthen the line. Not only will the line be strengthened financially (by regular travellers paying the equivalent of a bus ticket) but also offer a new a good service for the Ånge population. In the best case scenario everyone wins with a secured hospital line for the needy patients, a new a good transportation service for regular travellers and increased incomes for the entrepreneur and the County Council.

The change will be made as a pilot project between 15th of January and 15th of June 2011.
